YEREVAN. – Pope Francis and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II will sign a joint declaration during the pontiff’s last day in Armenia Director of the Holy See Press Office told reporters in Yerevan.

The declaration that was agreed by the Catholic and Armenian Apostolic churches on Saturday evening will be signed at 4p.m., Fr. Federico Lombardi said.

“It is an important document that will sum up our ecumenical wordings. This will be a comprehensive synthesis of ecumenical positions of the Armenian Apostolic and Catholic churches,” Fr. Federico Lombardi added.
