YEREVAN. – Pope Francis and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II have signed a joint declaration during the pontiff’s last day in Armenia.

Earlier Fr. Lombardi, director of the Holy See press office, said the document is a comprehensive synthesis of ecumenical positions of the Armenian Apostolic and Catholic churches.

Pope Francis is on a three-day visit to Armenia the motto of which is “The Visit to the First Christian Nation”.
