YEREVAN. – World markets are rocked again for the past several days, according to Haykakan Zhamanak.

“The sharp fluctuations in the prices of goods are recorded in stock exchanges, and this compels renowned analytical centers to assess the situation as perilous.

“In particular, the price of oil is constantly dropping since July 1 (…). The price of copper is also falling since the first of the month. (…). And the changes in the prices of these two products are having a direct impact on Armenia’s economy. According to analysts, the underlying causes of these [price] fluctuations are quite perilous.

“Other analysts, taking into account the unprecedented rise in [the price of] gold and the simultaneous rise of the [exchange rate of the US] dollar, forecast a new global crisis. [And] as experience shows, Armenia will be among the countries to be most affected by it,” wrote Haykakan Zhamanak.
