The archaeologists have discovered a cultural settlement of the Araks river in Chobaret village, which is in Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia, reports the Akhaltskha.net. The discovered cultural settlement has about 5,000 years’ history.

According to the information provided by the Municipality that governs Chobaret village ,  in that area there are still carrying out excavations. The project is conducted with joint efforts of the Georgian National Museum and the Australian city of Melbourne. The archeologists discovered stone buildings, barns with living and utility spaces, fireplaces,  and different tableware tools.
