Iran tries to buy nuclear technologies in Germany even after the accord it reached with western powers in Vienna last July, Financial Times reported quoting German domestic intelligence agency.

According to the annual report of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution of Germany, illegal Iranian attempts to procure technology in 2015 “continued on a quantitatively high level by international standards”.

“This was particularly the case for merchandise that could be deployed in the field of nuclear technology,” the report stated.

The authors of the report said that there were 141 attempts to buy nuclear technologies in 2015 ,which is twice as higher as the  indicators of 2014, and the two third of the attempts were made by Iranian organizations.

The report does not indicate how many attempts of purchase have been made before the agreement and how many after, but it is mentioned that some attempts have been made since July, 2015.

In the agreement reached in July of last year, Iran agreed to close up the nuclear program in exchange for removal of the economic sanctions.  In January, the UN confirmed that the country complied with their initial obligations under the contract, and the sanctions were lifted.
