PARIS. – One could say that the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Euro 2016, which France hosted, was either the least interesting or the most unpredictable.

But one thing is certain: It has finished and has a champion: Portugal.

From sea to sea roaming with Ucom

Starting from September 15, use internet for 39 drams per megabit and incoming calls for 150 drams per minute in the mentioned seaside resorts. The entire list of countries here.

When Euro 2016 had kicked off one month ago, French journalists were saying that the majority of the French population was against the country hosting this event. French people are always more concerned about the social problems in the country.

But Euro 2016 became more interesting for them when their national squad showed great performance, and sought to become European Champions.

Les Bleus played in the Euro 2016 Final on Sunday. They faced Portugal at home, and were considered the clear favorite in this match.

Capital city Paris was living and breathing football since early Sunday morning.

The Euro 2016 Paris fanzone, which is in the Champ de Mars large public greenspace at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, opened at 4pm, and tens of thousands of youth “packed” it.

But in the end, Portugal became the Euro 2016 champions by defeating the host nation 1-0, with Éder’s extra-time goal in the 110th minute.

While the match was still in progress, however, The Arc de Triomphe de l’Étoile (Triumphal Arch of the Star) of Paris was being tested with lights in the colors of the French national flag. But in the end, it remained without this special lighting. This seemed to be the bitter trace and proof that Champs-Élysées and entire Paris were “mourning.”

And then began the dreadful events. All those who were celebrating the victory of Portugal took to the streets. Firecrackers, explosives and shouts ensued, and the French capital city immediately changed for the worse.

The French quickly went home to forget this defeat.

Despite everything, Euro 2016 is now history.

And now, I need to hurry to the airport, to return to Armenia.

Incidentally, congratulations to Portugal and their fans!
