Exactly one year separates humanity from spectacular astronomical phenomenon, the largest lunar eclipse which should be the most effective in the history, Space.com reported.

As scientists predict, the total eclipse of the Moon will take place on August 21, 2017. About 220 million people, including the residents of 14 American states will be able to see it. According to astronomers, such a coverage has not been observed since 1979.

Usually, lunar eclipses attract fewer people than the Sun. Although, scientists claim that the eclipse of the Moon is not inferior to the beauty of the Sun eclipses.

The grandiose astronomical phenomenon of the next year can positively affect tourism industry of the U.S. and other countries where it will be well visible.
