Armenia Development Fund (ADF) Director Karen Mkrtichian informed that an investment forum devoted to the attracting of foreign investments in Armenia’s economy will be held in New York City, on October 10 and 11, according to the Voice of America Armenian service.

In his words, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, senior officials from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, and executives of companies will deliver remarks at the event that will take place at Wall Street.

“This is the first such event in 15 years,” noted Mkrtichian. “We will introduce eight domains of Armenia’s economy, and the state programs aimed at assisting them.”

As per the ADF executive, Armenia’s economy may be of interest for foreign investors.

“Armenia has the potential to become a platform for European and American companies, which can then transport their products to Russia and other countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, without customs duties.”
