An old woman was killed recently in Armenian-populated Khando village near Akhalkalaki town in Georgia’s Samtskhe-Javakheti region.

Georgian parliament member Henzel Mkoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the 79-year-old woman lived alone, her son had returned from Russia after her death, and found out that her mother was murdered.

“The son found traces of violence on her mother’s body, and before that, he found that the house was robbed,” said Mkoyan. “It was found out that the elderly woman was killed; she didn’t die of natural causes.”

The law enforcement agencies are investigating the case.

But there are neither suspects nor detainees, at present.
