It is the second year since the Feast of Wine has been celebrated in Armenia. This year, the Feast is to take place in the village of Areni, Oct 17.

Mekhak Apresyan, Head of the Tourism and Territorial Economic Development Department, RA Ministry of Economy, said the Feast may become traditional.

The Feast program provides for large-scale events for numerous foreign guests. The guests can attend the opening ceremony of the world’s longest rope-way running as far as the Tatev monastery.

An exhibition of paintings, cheese and wine tasting, as well as a horse riding contest, will take place.

The Feast program also includes songs and dances, as well as a contest for the best label for Areni wine.
