ANTELIAS. – Catholicos Aram I of the Great House of Cilicia of the Armenian Apostolic Church on Tuesday headed for the US, and Canada.
In Los Angeles, Montréal, and New York, Aram I will preside over the celebrations devoted to the 20th anniversary of his election and blessing as Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, the Armenian Church Catholicosate of Cilicia—in Antelias, Lebanon—press services informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Even though the 20 years of Aram I’s patriarchal service were completed in 2015, upon his request, no respective celebratory event was held in the year past, considering the Armenian Genocide Centennial in 2015.
Catholicos Aram I will return to Armenian Church Catholicosate of Cilicia on October 22.
