The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) plans to hold large-scale military exercises.

The CSTO “Combat Brotherhood” exercises are planned to be conducted in October 2017, in Armenia, Kazakhstan and Russia, said Anatoly Sidorov, the CSTO Chief of Joint Staff, speaking to TASS news agency of Russia.

“This year, four military exercises took place at different times, in the territory of various CSTO countries,” noted Sidorov. “[But] next year, we plan to combine the exercises and hold them with a joint initiative at the same time, with all CSTO collective forces.”

The exercises will last for approximately three weeks.

The CSTO comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
