YEREVAN. - Upon the decision of Yerevan City Council and on occasion of the 2198th anniversary of the capital, Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan on Saturday bestowed the title of Honorary Citizen of Yerevan upon a number of distinguished persons.

Among them were doctor-rheumatologist of the adult policlinic at “Surb Grigor Lusavorich” Medical Center, Sarah Yesayan, Armenian People's Artist Rafael Kotanjyan,  champion of Armenia and Russia, winner of the Silver Medal of Europe championship, vice-champion of the Olympic Games of 2016, international class master of sport of Russia Mihran Harutyunyan and the Greco-Roman Style wrestler, world double champion, three times Europe champion, Gold Medal winner at the 2016 Olympic Games Artur Aleksanyan. 

Thanking and handing relevant certificates to the awardees, Margaryan noted that each of them truly deserves the honorable title, which is perhaps the unique assessment and appreciation of their efforts and devotion aimed at upholding the honor of Armenia and the capital of all Armenians, Yerevan.
