YEREVAN. - Chinese companies are interested in road construction in Armenia.
Chinese Ambassador to Armenia, Tian Erlong, said the aforementioned Tuesday at the meeting with Armenian Minister of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan.
The Minister noted that many Chinese companies work in Armenia, including Sinohydro Corporation, which carries out the construction of the section in the framework of the 3rd tranche of the North-South road corridor. He also underscored the importance of the more active involvement of Chinese companies in the road construction in Armenia.
The Chinese Ambassador to Armenia noted that the Chinese companies have great experience in the construction of both roads and tunnels. Therefore, they may take interest in the work carried out in the southern sections of North-South project.
The sides also agreed to invigorate cooperation in the area of information technologies.
