On October 21, Armenian first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan met with Secretary General of the Council of Europe Thorbjorn Jagland.

The officials discussed issues regarding fulfillment of PACE 1677 resolution, particularly the release of political prisoners, investigation of March 1 killings and re-launching of Ա1+ TV. The sides also touched upon Armenia’s active role in democracy strengthening and human rights protection.

The representatives of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan and Avetis Avagyan also were present at the meeting.
