Within the framework of his visit to Belarus, the Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, participated in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council as well as in the narrow- and extended-format meetings of the Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Heads of Governments.

Several programs were discussed and, subsequently, approved along the lines of these talks that were conducted in the Belarusian capital city of Minsk.

Following these sessions, PM Karapetyan held a short briefing with members of the media.

He noted that the negotiations and discussions were quite interesting, and that such platforms are suitable for conferring on matters that have accumulated in post-Soviet countries.

“Discussions at the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council were lively and substantive because they were about the Customs Code,” added the Armenian PM. “Since there were unresolved matters, we agreed to meet again on November 15, in Moscow.”
