YEREVAN. - In 2016-18, Russia will transfer $36 mln to the Humanitarian Center of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Minister of Emergency Situations, Armen Yeritsyan, told the aforementioned on Monday, speaking at the parliamentary hearings on draft 2017 State Budget.

Equipment for providing humanitarian aid has been installed in the center, which opened in March. The center is located not far from Yerevan, in Getargel village.

By 2018, Russia will tranfer $36 mln to the center in the form of firefighting and rescue vehicles, as well as other necessary property.

“This will help us provide help to other countries jointly with Russia, if needed,” the Minister said.
