YEREVAN. – Armenia’s embassies in 15 countries will have representatives from the information technology (IT) sector of Armenia, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

“The IT sector representatives [of Armenia] made such a request noting that that they will take care of the expenses of these representatives,” noted Karapetyan. “And we [i.e. the Armenian government] just have to endow them with the respective powers, to make it clear that they are acting on behalf of the [Armenian] state.” 

In the PM’s words, the representatives of other areas of business also may follow this example.

“We can work with this format, so as not to set up separate trade representations,” added Karen Karapetyan.
