The Pope Francis preferred not to make statements against President-elect Donald Trump, Vatican Radio reported.

In an interview with the Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica, the Pope says he did not judge individual politicians, but he wanted to see how their policies might affect the poor and most marginalized people.

The pontiff noted that at the moment the main concern for him was problems of immigrants and refugees and urged to concentrate on how Trump’s political decisions will affect the solution of these questions.
