YEREVAN. – Armenia and Moldova are lifting the visa regime between the two countries.

The corresponding document was signed during the working visit to Armenia by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova, Andrei Galbur.

This was informed during Galbur’s joint news conference Wednesday with Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

“Armenia attaches great importance to the deepening of relations with Moldova,” said Nalbandian.

In his words, during their talk, the two FMs discussed Armenian-Moldovan trade and economic relations and cultural and educational ties. In addition, four documents—including the lifting of visa requirements—were signed.

Furthermore, Nalbandian presented his Moldovan colleague Armenia’s ongoing negotiation process with the European Union.

The parties also agreed that all conflicts should be resolved solely through peace.

The Moldovan FM, for his part, noted that he had a useful discussion with his Armenian associate.

“We were able to discuss a wide range of topical matters that are put on the agenda of bilateral cooperation,” said Andrei Galbur. “We noted that cooperation needs to be continued around issues of mutual interest.

“We support settling regional crises within the working formats, [and] only pacifically.”
