President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden talked by phone on Wednesday.

The interlocutors discussed the pressing issues of cooperation between Ukraine and U.S. and regional security in the context of the presidential election results.

Poroshenko and Biden underscored the importance of coordinating efforts towards ensuring the implementation of Russia’s obligations in line with the Minsk agreements and maintaining international sanction policy against Russia till the full recovery of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Apart from this, they attached importance to the continuation of support to the reforms in Ukraine, which have begun yielding significant results.
