YEREVAN. – A military serviceman has died in Tavush Province, informed the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
According to the committee statement, the dead body of soldier Ivan Hayrapetyan, a machine-gunner at the infantry battalion of a Ministry of Defense military unit in Tavush, was discovered on Thursday at around 9:50pm, at the checkpoint building of the said battalion.
The soldier was found dead with gunshot wounds on his mouth and head.
The Investigative Committee has launched criminal proceedings into this incident.
An investigation is underway to ascertain all the circumstances behind this occurrence.
