YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, on Tuesday received a delegation, led by Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia, Denis Manturov.

This Russian delegation has arrived in Armenia within the framework of the Fourth International Anticounterfeiting Forum 2016, Press Office of the Government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

This event is devoted to the protection of intellectual property rights, and counteraction to illegal circulation of industrial products within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) which comprises Armenia Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Karapetyan stressed that this forum is an important and necessary platform for defining clear rules of the game for businesses in the EAEU countries.

Manturov, in turn, presented the course of this international event.

At the ensuing talk, the interlocutors discussed the opportunities for the expansion of trade and economic relations between Armenia and Russia. In this connection, the Premier noted that there is great potential for development in Armenian-Russian relations.

The Armenian PM and the Russian minister also exchanged views on the prospects for collaboration in several domains. In addition, they underscored the need to intensify the business climate, and the steps toward cooperation within free economic zones.
