YEREVAN. - A new pilot model for disability pension accounting will be introduced in Armenia in January.
Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Artem Asatryan, said the aforementioned during a consultation with PM Karen Karapetyan Tuesday.
In particular, Asatryan noted: “We already have a formed proposal not to automatically make citizens disabled, this especially concerning 3rd group of persons with disabilities. We must assess and ensure the services which they need. If they receive these services, they will not seek to become disabled,” Asatryan noted, the Government press-service informed Armenian News –NEWS.am.
Karapetyan, for his part, said: “What do we want and expect from you? First of all, maximal transparence: everything should be open and without any shocks. Those who are not eligible for the pension will not receive it. A situation has been created, in which people want to become socially vulnerable. We must do our best to break this field.”
