Deputies compromising their factions must be subjected to punishment.

Head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Vahram Baghdasaryan, stated the aforementioned in the National Assembly (NA), speaking at the debate on the new draft edition of the NA Regulation. The bill was drawn out by the deputies of the ruling forces (Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and ARF Dashnaktsutyun) to reflect the growing role of the next parliament calling, specified in the constitutional reform.

According to Baghdasaryan, the punishments should include expelling a deputy from a faction. Grounds for this may be the abominable speeches and actions of the given deputy not only in the parliament but also outside it if the faction finds that he is harming its reputation, the MP added.
