YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, on Friday chaired a regular meeting of the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise [(SME)] Development Council.

Several agenda issues were discussed, and a number of comments and views were presented at the event, Press Office of the Government of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Underscoring the assistance to Armenia’s small and medium-sized businesses, Karapetyan, stressed the need for increasing the efficiency of the aforesaid council.

“All sectors representing the domain shall be included in the SME Development Council,” noted the PM. “This council shall be made a platform where the submitted initiatives will fundamentally contribute to the elimination of the obstacles existing in the domain, and the development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship [in Armenia].”
