YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia, Karen Karapetyan, on Friday received representatives from several international donor organizations.

The PM said the Armenian government is interested in enhancing the efficiency of work with donor organizations, and he wished to discuss three main issues.

“First, we have launched a process of optimizing the project implementation units [in Armenia],” Karapetyan noted, in particular. “We want to make work more effective, solid, [and] the expenses—less.

“Second, loans, loan programs, [and] their priorities.

“Third, we will create a center for strategic initiatives, or, in other words, a center for reforms, by the year’s end—in the coming days, within the framework of which we plan to cooperate with the maximum interested forces, including the private sector.”

The premier of Armenia added that he expects the international donor organizations’ cooperation and assistance in these processes.

Subsequently, the discussants conferred on the cooperation priorities, joint projects, and further steps along the lines of the matters which Karen Karapetyan had outlined.
