A powerful 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of eastern Indonesia on Monday, U.S. Geological Survey said.

The tremors were recorded at 01.13 (UTC).  The epicenter was located 418 kilometers northeast Indonesian island of Palu, at a depth of 522 kilometers, The Hindu reported.

There was no information on casualties and destructions.
