On December 5, at the IAEA headquarters Vienna will host an international conference on nuclear safety at ministerial level, reports RIA Novosti.

About 2 thousand people from 130 member countries are registered for the event. 40 countries will be represented at the level of defense ministers. It is expected that ministers and senior officials will adopt a declaration at the end of the first day.

In addition to the ministerial meetings and discussions, the conference will also hold a technical program that will include high-level discussions of nuclear safety issues, as well as parallel sessions on specific technical issues.
