YEREVAN. – US President-elect Donald Trump’s anti-Iranian sentiments will not affect Armenian-Iranian relations, Iranian Studies specialist Garnik Asatryan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In his words, Armenia has never been subjected to external pressure in the last 25 years, and there is no reason to believe that something will change now.

“It’s too early to speak about Trump’s anti-Iranian stance,” added Asatryan. “Perhaps this was just his election [campaign] rhetoric, and it’s not clear what policy he actually will conduct towards Iran and other countries.”
