Armenian Ambassador to Malaysia, Anna Aghajanyan (residence in Jakarta) extended her credentials to Malaysian King Abdul Halim on December 2.

During the tête-à-tête meeting following the official credentials ceremony, the Malaysian king and the Armenian Ambassador referred to the historical links of the two peoples and the Armenian historical legacy in Malaysia.

During the conversation, King Abdul Halim stressed that Malaysia attaches importance to development of different areas and implementation of joint programs together with Armenia.

On the same day, a wide scope of issues related to the Armenian-Malaysian cooperation was discussed at the meeting with high ranking MFA officials. Both sides underscored the importance of giving new impetus to the bilateral ties.

Ambassador Aghajanyan assured that Armenia is ready to deepen its ties both in bilateral and multi-lateral formats.
