YEREVAN. - Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan hasn’t discussed with the President on how long he will hold his office.

The PM told the aforementioned to the media representatives on Monday, responding to the question as to whether he will continue to hold his office after 2018.

“I have answered this question. If I say that I will be in office for three, four or five years, you will say that I might be inefficient and become an evil in terms of governance ... I haven’t come to work for six months. If the people and different strata of the society realize that we are moving in a right direction every day, we will try to work for a long period of time,” Karapetyan said.

During the Congress of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), President Serzh Sargsyan announced that in case of achieving success in parliamentary elections, Karen Karapetyan will retain his post. However, the President didn’t touch on the situation after 2018. According to rumors, starting exactly from that period, Sargsyan will become a prime minister.

In response to the obstinate questions of reporters, Karapetyan finally said that in case if productive work he sees himself in the post of a Prime Minister after 2018 as well.
