The oppositional party of the South African Republic, Democratic Alliance, has applied to the court to challenge the government’s decision of SAR’s withdrawal from the International Criminal Court.
Democratic Alliance believes that such actions are against the SAR’s Constitution. The opposition believes that the government of South African Republic is violating the decision ratified by the Parliament, according to which the country joined the ICC. " Only parliament can decide to remove South Africa from the treaty," said DA attorney Steven Budlender, reports Novosti.
