Currently there are no precise estimates on how many foreign investments and workplaces are foreseen next year.

Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan told the aforementioned to the media representatives Monday.

“We more or less have an idea how many investments will be made and how many jobs will be created, but we don’t know this precisely. If opportunity is given for long-term work, we have an idea how many investments we need, for instance, for making the GDP twice much. I have already noted this once: it is a pre-election year, and people are even postponing purchase of property till after April. The same happens in business. If we can create really fair conditions for businessmen, their courage will also grow. When we again return to regular work, it will be easier to make estimates,” Karapetyan said, noting that he is not going to promulgate any figures.

In any case, Karapetyan assured that they will publish such a figure in the future that it will not be possible “to get off the hook.”
