Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has approved the agreement that was signed with Russia on October 10, with respect to the Turkish Stream natural gas pipeline project, and which the Turkish parliament had approved.

Gazeta.ru news site of Russia reported the aforesaid citing the official newspaper (Resmi Gazete) of the Turkish government.

Separately, chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, announced that the Duma will approve this agreement in a foreseeable future.

This planned natural gas pipeline is expected to run from Southern Russian Krasnodar Region across the Black Sea to Turkish Thrace.
