YEREVAN. – Minister of Agriculture, Ignati Arakelyan, on Tuesday met with Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Representative in Armenia, Raimund Jehle.

The minister presented the priorities and key challenges of Armenia’s agriculture sector, the Ministry of Agriculture informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Consumer loans without collateral up to AMD 2,000,000

Up to December 30 consumer loans without collateral up to AMD 2,000,000 will be granted only with annual interest rate of 19-20%

Jehle, for his part, confirmed FAO’s readiness to continue cooperation with the ministry.

At the end of the talk, the Ministry of Agriculture and FAO signed an agreement on Country Programming Framework.

Pursuant to the document, FAO will assist in enhancing the competitiveness of Armenia’s farmers, fish farmers and those engaged in forestry, and in improving living standards in the rural settlements of the country.
