ETCHMIADZIN. – Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, on Tuesday received Metropolitan Nikoloz of Akhalkalaki and Kumurdo of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
Karekin II fondly recalled his patriarchal visit to Akhalkalaki, and reflected on the devoted activities by the Georgian metropolitan, Information Services of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Metropolitan Nikoloz, for his part, underscored the strengthening of interaction and ties between the Armenian and Georgian peoples.
They also spoke about the challenges which the Armenian Apostolic and the Georgian Orthodox Churches face, and the efforts toward addressing these challenges.
