101-year-old resident of Birmingham is recognized as the oldest citizen of Britain ever been kept in jail, reports Daily Mail.

The former truck driver is suspected of sexual abuse of minors. According to the prosecution, he committed a series of crimes from 1974 to 1983 in a nearby garage. His victims were 2 girls and a boy.

The victims applied to the police a year ago. After the investigation, the elderly man was accused of sexual assaults, 17 immoral acts, and 2 cases of severe sexual crime. During the interrogation, the accused confirmed, that there several incidents indeed took place, but he denied the fact of serious sexual offenses.
