YEREVAN. - Shadow economy can and must be revealed by different means.

Finance Minister of Armenia, Vardan Aramyan, stated the afirementioned in the parliament on Tuesday, introducing the bill on 2017 State Budget.

Responding to the question of the Orinats Yerkir faction head Heghine Bisharyan, he noted that the shadow economy is countered by means of monitoring and investigation measures. But on the other hand, the Government also offers ''sweets.'' For instance, as early as several years ago income tax exemptions were proposed for companies, which would decide to get listed in the national stock exchange. But the business, generally speaking, didn't capitalize on this, since the benefits from non-payment of taxes proved to be greater. ''There is one way out, like all over the world - to strengthen the electronic documentation of transactions. The better such systems are developed, the less loopholes there will be for 'grey' transactions,'' Aramyan noted.
