STEPANAKERT. – Within the framework of his working visit to Washington D.C., Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Prime Minister Arayik Haroutyunyan met with officials of the Armenian Assembly of America, and the Armenian National Committee of America.

They discussed the prospects for deepening cooperation on issues of national importance and matters relating to Artsakh, the NKR Government informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Also, Haroutyunyan underscored the role of these two organizations in the decision-making process of US state agencies, and in raising awareness of Artsakh.

Subsequently, the NKR PM attended a reception by the Embassy of Armenia in Washington D.C.

In his remarks at this event, the Premier spoke about the state-building, economic development, and ensuring security in the NKR. He also stressed the importance of the Armenian diaspora’s exclusive participation in the development and international representation of Artsakh.

In addition, Arayik Haroutyunyan responded to several questions from those in attendance.
