YEREVAN. - 25 percent privatization of the Georgian-Armenian transit gas pipeline (Georgian section of Mozdok-Yerevan pipeline) doesn't pose risks for the country.

Karapetyan said the aforementioned in the National Assembly (NA) on Wednesday, responding to the question of MP Shirak Torosyan, who recalled the plans of Giorgi Kvirikashvili's government to sell 25 percent of the shares of the Georgian oil and gas corporation, which owns that gas pipeline.

In the PM's words, in the event of selling the mentioned 25 percent, including to Azerbaijan, there is no risk that the Georgian side will cease implementing its agreement obligations on transit gas.

''You ask whether the risks may rise if that percent also goes up? They may, but this will already be a different step, one related to interstate relations. And in this case we know what arguments we can bring to our neighboring friendly country.

And if we talk about this now—in case of 25 percent—we risk to appear at least incorrect,'' the PM said.
