The Nagorno-Karabakh peace process needs to get a second breath.

German Minister for Foreign Affairs and Chairman-in-Office of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Frank-Walter Steinmeier, on Thursday stated the aforementioned at the 23rd OSCE Ministerial Council Meeting in Hamburg, Germany.

He expressed full support to the Minsk Group process, and noted that there exists one mediation format, the OSCE Minsk Group, for settlement of the Karabakh conflict.

Steinmeier added that the ceasefire needs to be unbroken in this conflict, real negotiations need to start on a political settlement, and noted they fully support the Minsk Group.

In 2017, OSCE Chairmanship will be transferred from Germany to Austria.
