YEREVAN. – During Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan’s most recent talk with journalists, a question was posed as to whether it is too lavish for a country like Armenia to declare holiday from around December 26 and 27 to January 6 [i.e. Armenian Christmas Day], reported Aravot newspaper.

“Karen Karapetyan agreed with this observation, but noted that declaring working days [in the country] starting from January 3 should be by the law. But since there is no time now to adopt such a law, we will continue to eat piglets for 10 days. But the law is likely to change as of next year.

“Of course, every person has the right to rest; a right enshrined in the Constitution [of Armenia]. But this is the right of an individual; he shall have a certain number of days of vacation during the year,” wrote Aravot.
