The new meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders will not be groundbreaking in terms of the Karabakh conflict settlement.

Russian political analyst Alexander Skakov told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The expert didn’t rule out the possibility that the presidential format meeting may take place in the upcoming 2-3 months. “Apparently, against the backdrop of the current situation, when a conflict escalation is observed, the mediators are interested in holding a new meeting between the heads of states but even if such a meeting takes place, it won’t lead to productive decisions on the conflict settlement,” the analyst noted.

On Thursday, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs came up with a statement in which they expressed readiness to hold a new meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents.
