STEPANAKERT. – The adversary violated the ceasefire along the line of contact between the Karabakh and Azerbaijani opposing forces more than 40 times, from late Friday night to early Saturday morning.

During this time the Azerbaijani armed forces fired around 800 shots toward the Armenian position-holders, and by way of various caliber small arms and sniper weapons, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Defense Army informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In addition, the adversary fired from a rocket-propelled grenade and an automatic grenade launcher, in an easterly (Martuni) direction.

But the NKR Defense Army vanguard units responded to the Azerbaijani army’s aggressive actions solely when absolutely necessary, and they confidently carried out the military task set before them along the entire line of contact.
