President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan along with the President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh) Bako Sahakyan on Saturday visited the defense positions near Mataghis and Talish villages in northern Artsakh.

The presidents listened to the report of a military unit commander, after which they were presented the engineering and fortification infrastructures and new technologies for reliable defense, the press-service of the Armenian President's office informed Armenian News – NEWS.am. President Sargsyan encouraged the outstanding servicemen.

In another defense area, the opening of subsequent barracks and auxiliary buildings took place, following which Serzh Sargsyan and Bako Sahakyan along with Armenian artists who visited Artsakh attended a concert held for the staff.

In the evening, the Armenian and Karabakh presidents attended the event entitled ''Strong faith, powerful army, defended homeland'' held at the  Stepanakert Culture and Youth Palace.
