YEREVAN. – Armenian Olympic Champion, Greco-Roman wrestler Artur Alekanyan spends his New Year holidays abroad.

He told the aforementioned to reporters on Saturday (photos).

Referring to his childhood expectations form the New Year and Santa Claus, Aleksanyan recalled that he most of all dreamt of getting toys as a present.

''It is hard to remember [this period] but like all children I probably most of all dreamt of new toys,'' he confessed.

This year was more than successful for the wrestler. ''After a 20-year I managed to again win the Olympic gold, representing Armenia,'' Aleksanyan said.

The sportsman is confident that the coming year 2017 will be successful both for him and the entire Armenia, as well Armenian people.  ''I want to wish our people peaceful sky above our heads, wellbeing and prosperity in 2017,'' he said.
