Chief Editor of Agos newspaper Hrant Dink was killed as a result of policy carried out by the authorities, Alper Tas, leader of Turkish Freedom and Solidarity party, said in an interview with NTV TV channel.

He recalled that the party had already stated that Dink’s assassination was organized collectively. “State is involved in this case. One of those who legalized this crime is Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Cemil Cicek. Istanbul’s governor, policemen and gendarmerie were also involved in this crime. Hrant Dink was killed as a result of policy carried out by the authorities,” he said.

Turkish politician also commented on the decision to try Dink’s murderer at a juvenile court, noting that the state turned a child into a killer. Therefore, it is more important to condemn the state and punish the guilty, rather than to try Samast, he added.
