YEREVAN. – Donors from Germany are ready to support a project of the national park at the intersection of Armenia, Karabakh and Iran, Deputy Minister of Nature Protection Khachik Hakobyan told the correspondent of Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to him, the project was prepared with the support of the Armenian Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets (FPWC) and their donors from Germany.

During the recent visit of the Iranian delegation to Armenia headed by the president Hassan Rouhani, the project was also presented to Iranian colleagues.

“German donors don't see problems in such format of work. We have just started negotiations with the Iranian partners, but I hope, we will finish successfully. We’re discussing with them the project of Friendship Park on Aras River [the border between Armenia and Iran – ed.]. And continuation of this bilateral project can become trilateral,” Hakobyan noted.
