On January 1, hundreds of fireworks have illuminated the sky of Sydney, reports ABC News. More than 1 million people gathered in Sydney in 2017, to celebrate and watch festive fireworks. Fireworks show lasted 12 minutes. 132 tons (120 metric tons) of fireworks were let off over the Sydney Harbor.
The fireworks that made a form of the moon and stars were let off under the sounds David Bowie Space Oddity performance.
